Anthro New Mexico started with just three locals from Albuquerque, Tetris, Victor, and Calamity. An impromptu photoshoot turned into a meet one day and the idea to create the ABQ Fursuit Group came in mind, in one month their telegram grew to 80 members and they revived a dead community with their biweekly Furmeets. Three months later they began the process of creating New Mexico's first and only Furry Convention, Anthro New Mexico!

Tetris is the owner and founder of Psycho wolf Studios and has made over 45 suits to date for the Fandom. In 2020 he was tasked with hiring and recruiting a team of actors to portray Furries in a horror film, But instead chose to hire over 20 Furries across the state while helping to shed some positive light on the Fandom. Hi, my name is Calamity Fox I’m the secretary and third head of Anthro New Mexico. I’m an Albuquerque local who hosted a New Mexico fur meet up at Denfur. After that I would start to host regular meets nearly twice a month with the help of Victor & Tetris. My goal is to give the community of New Mexico Furries a place to be themselves and comfortable.
