It is with heavy hearts that we, the board, must share some difficult news regarding our 2025 convention. Due to circumstances beyond our control, we are forced to delay the event temporarily. Unfortunately, we are unable to guarantee the original date or location at this time, as we are facing s scheduling conflicts with the venue. We want to emphasize that this does not mean the convention is canceled, but rather postponed. While we hope to reschedule the event in the coming months, there is also the possibility that the convention may need to be moved to 2026. Please know that this decision was not made lightly, and we are deeply saddened by the situation. We understand how important this event is to all of you, and we ask for your patience and understanding as we navigate these challenges. Our team is committed to keeping you informed with updates as the situation evolves. For those who have already registered, we completely understand if you prefer a refund given the uncertainty. However, if you choose to continue supporting the event, we will gladly roll your registration over to the rescheduled convention. Thank you for your ongoing support and understanding during this challenging time. We will continue to work hard to ensure a memorable experience when the convention is able to take place. Sincerely,
The ANM Board
We're proud to be partnered with Wild Spirit Wolf Sanctuary, a 501(c)3 charity who is dedicated to rescuing displaced, unwanted, and non-releasable captive-bred wolves, wolfdogs, and other wild canid species. They welcome rescues from across the country, providing medical care, enrichment and sanctuary. They offer education to the public and visits to their sanctuary located in Candy Kitchen, NM.
Tragic news struck the wolf and wolfdog world a few months ago when a beloved member of the community, Sue Cranston, passed away. Not only was Sue a tremendous advocate for wolves and wolfdogs everywhere, she was also the Founder and Executive Director of Indigo Mountain Nature Center, a non-profit sanctuary located in Lake George, Colorado. With her passing, Indigo Mountain is on the cusp of shutting down, which will leave 25 rescues without a home. With the over-saturation of wolfdogs already in sanctuaries (and more requiring placement each day), there is nowhere for these animals to go. . . That is, unless we can save Indigo Mountain and the lives of all who call it home–together.
